Leader Spotlight: Getting to Know Pam

When Mark first asked Pam to start a small group in her neighborhood — an area of town that didn't yet have a study of its own — she said yes, and she's been watching God work through that "yes" ever since.

A Journey That Started Young

Pam came to know the Lord at just 10 years old, when she realized she was a sinner and wanted God in her life. That early foundation carried her through every season that followed — including one she never expected. "I planned on being married the rest of my life," Pam shares about her divorce, a season that stretched her faith in ways she couldn't have anticipated. Rather than pulling her away from God, it drew her closer — and unexpectedly, it's also how she met Charles, through mutual friends. Through it all, Psalm 139 became her anchor. She memorized it during those tough years, and it continues to guide her today.

Two women from her church, Anne Collins (who has since passed away) and Elizabeth Reaves, shaped her spiritual journey along the way — the kind of mentors every believer hopes to find.

Watching a Neighborhood Grow Closer to God

Ask Pam what she loves most about leading, and she doesn't hesitate: getting to know the ladies in her neighborhood. "Watching them grow in the Lord... they are praying for one another, and it is bringing them closer to God and each other," she says.

She's seen that growth firsthand in beautiful ways — like the woman raised in the Catholic faith who had never studied the Bible before joining Pam's group. Everything was new to her, but she embraced it, week after week answering questions and growing in her understanding of God's Word.

What amazes Pam most is how the group has continued to grow almost entirely by word of mouth — even as members have moved away, the community keeps expanding with barely a mention on the neighborhood Facebook page. It's a quiet testimony to what God can do through faithful, ordinary invitations.

Her Advice for New Leaders

For anyone nervous about leading their first Bible study, Pam's advice is simple: "Be yourself. Pray for God's guidance each week, and for new members who come into the group to be welcomed and feel loved."

Outside of ministry, you might be surprised to learn Pam is an avid tennis player!

Our Staff

Mark Schupbach, CEO and Founder Mark's vision launched LifeMark Ministries, and his hands are still very much in the day-to-day work of fulfilling that vision. He writes and films every Mondays with Mark devotional, and right now he's deep into recording an updated set of lesson videos for both Mosaic of the Master I and II — refreshed content that will serve small groups for years to come.

Rob Pine, Executive Director Rob wears more hats than most people realize. He's currently writing a brand-new Bible study guide, leading three different Bible studies, and recording a weekly podcast — all while keeping the ministry's day-to-day operations running smoothly.

Beth Howes, Administrative Manager Beth is the editorial engine behind so much of what you see and hear from LifeMark. She edits our lesson videos, podcast episodes, and Mondays with Mark devotionals, all while working to make our website more user-friendly and exploring new ways to get LifeMark's materials into the hands of those who need them.

Rudy Fernandez, Accountant Rudy keeps the ministry's finances in order, ensuring every dollar entrusted to LifeMark is stewarded well and every gift is put to faithful use.

Randall Schupbach, Writer Randall pens our Dig Deeper lessons, adding depth and richness to our studies, and he's currently under contract writing a  book for the ministry.

Kim Heffington, Design Director Kim brings LifeMark's materials to life visually, shaping the look and feel of our study guides.

Our Volunteers

Behind every study guide, devotional, and lesson video stands a team of volunteers who give their time and talents because they believe in what LifeMark is doing.

• James Heffington teaches Bible study lessons, guiding participants through God's Word each week.

• Marty Schupbach serves as our editor and leads our hospitality efforts, making sure every detail — from the written word to the warmth of a welcome — reflects LifeMark well.

• Sherry Schupbach has lent her editing skills and helped select the Mondays with Mark content featured in our Seek First devotional. She's also writing the leader's guide for Mosaic of the Master I and II.
